Know Your Options - Keep This Off Your Record

We'll aim to get the case against you dismissed. The state's case may be based largely on the testimony of questionable witnesses, such as people who are facing drug charges and trying to make a deal. We'll question their motives for testifying and try to discredit their testimony.

If we can't get the case dismissed, we'll seek to keep you out of jail and get the conviction off your record. Probation is often available as an alternative to prison. If this is your first offense, you may qualify for First Offender Probation, which keeps the conviction off your record. Under this probation, to avoid conviction, you must pay a fine, stay out of trouble and meet once a month with a probation officer.

Drug Court for Repeat Offenders

If you're a repeat offender, we can help you get into drug court and avoid prison. This court is designed to help people get off drugs rather than to imprison them. You'll have to appear in court on a regular basis and the court will impose a punishment on you if you use drugs while on probation.

We offer a free initial appointment and accept all major credit cards. If you're charged with cocaine possession, contact an experienced lawyer at Cannell & Maulson, P.C. Our telephone number is 309-828-5600.
